Question
We could not get through Intel Sata controller driver installation (during OS Reinstallation). We already tried creating a floppy using the support disk that came with the system, copying from the disk, and downloaded the file from your support site. After doing this several times, we still have the same problem. What could be the issue?

Error: iastor.sys is corrupted
Detailed configuration:
- 4 x 160 GB SATA Hard drive
- Raid 5 Configuration
- Intel ICH9R 4-port SATA
- Raid
- Windows 2000 Advanced server sp4 or Windows 2000 Advanced server only

Also, will Adaptec support raid 5? Same raid configuration. Same OS.

Answer
Yes it supports RAID 5:

but the driver may not work with Win 2000 server. You may want to use Win 2003 or other newer OS other than 2000.
