I am building a system with C7Z87 board. When powered up the system, I heard one lower pitch, 4 very fast, then slight pause and one higher pitched beep codes, but the system continued to POST without problem. Is this normal?

The 4 beeps mean USB devices detected, the more USB devices connected to the system, the more beeps you will hear. The last one higher pitched beep is BIOS code which is used to notify users of initialization completion.
