Question
We are experiencing correctable ECC memory errors on X9SRL-F, and it turns out that ECC correction is writing to the BIOS system event log list which causes the BIOS to grab control of the CPU from the OS and causing issues for us.

Can we turn off this logging of errors to the BIOS SEL?

Answer
You can put these BIOS settings to “Disabled”.

Event logs->Change Settings->smbios event log
Event logs->Change Settings->Run time error logging support
Event logs->Change Settings-> Log System Boot Event
