Question
I have X9 motherboard using SMT firmware, v2.38 and v2.39. When I tried both of firmwares, I found the problem while doing IPMI factory default command or execution and following by system OS reboot, including CTRL + ALT + DEL combination key. The MAC of IPMI will be lost and formed as 00-00-00-00-00-00. Any reason?

Answer
For doing IPMI factory default resetting, including ipmicfg -fd command, please wait for 1 minute and then do the system OS reboot or system rebooting. Do not reset IPMI to default and system reboot at the same time. It will cause NVRAM data lost and MAC will be gone.
