I have two HDDs and want to create a Software raid mirror in
Windows servers 2012 with X9SRI-F board. Do I need to install SATA
drivers to do it?

Answer
No. For Software RAID, it is not required. You just need a HDD that is
the same size and has unallocated space before you can start mirroring
inside the disk management tool.
