When I enable Drive Security with LSI SafeStore on the AOC-SAS2LP-H8iR/AOC-S2208L-H8iR or onboard LSI 2108/2208 controllers, there is an error message of "There was a drive security key error. All secure drives will be marked as foreign".
Please explain.
SafeStore needs to be activated after a safeid of the controller is generated. Please follow the following procedure:
1. MegaCli elf getsafeid a0
2. MegaCli elf applykey key xxxxxxx a0
3. Reboot
4. MegaCli createsecuritykey securitykey [your_security_key] keyid [your_key_id] a0
5. MegaCli verifysecuritykey securitykey [your_security_key] a0
6. Reboot
