The following list are Industry Tips and Suggestions of Linux-OS Features for end-users to consider and evaluate settings, enabling or disabling that could minimize Host-Writes to the SSD that could increase Endurance and extend NAND Flash Life on the SSD. In addition, Host Data Compression and Deduplication could minimize Host-Writes to the SSD.



Note: End User is responsible to evaluate Feature Function and to select Feature for consideration to change and make final determination for optimal system Performance and Endurance based on User environment and application. Any one Feature or several Features could potentially have an impact. End-User always has the option to keep Host Feature at default settings.



Linux-OS: Features List for End-User evaluation;


Select- EXT4, Select NOATIME, Disable Temporary Files Storage, Disable Hibernation, Disk Caching, Enable Trim, Disable Defragmentation, Limit Swap Wear, Minimize Partitions and Swap Files and Log Files, Consider DATA=Ordered in Journal Mode, Consider DEADLINE instead of CFQ or NOOP in IO Scheduler.
