Should I need to use SFF-8087 to 4x SATA with sideband connector to connect to the backplane of chassis?

Or can I use SFF-8087 to 4x SATA without sideband connector to connect to the backplane of chassis?

The sideband cable is used for managing and monitoring the behavior of HDDs connected to the backplane.

When there is a problem, an alert is sent via sideband cable.

I suggest you use a SAS to SATA cable with a side band connector.
