Question
The following error message occurred when I installed CentOS5 x86 64bit Linux on H8DME-2.:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Powernow-k8: Your BIOS does not provide_PSS objects.
PowerNow! Does not work on SMP systems without_PSS objects.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Should I skip this message or is it a BIOS problem?

Answer
Please follow the these steps:

1) Check your BIOS setting: "Power Now" is enabled:
[Advanced] -> [Processor & Clock Options] -> [PowerNow] => "Enable"

2) Install PowerNow! driver for Linux for Barcelona. (as attached)

3) set "noapic nolapic pci=noacpi acpi=off" command at boot prompt.
