Basically, I can tell you that Ethernet switching these days involves support for a large number of protocols and procedures. We are as good as anyone in that area and better than many.

We have an advantage in data centers using our Blade Server if they use the Blade 1/10 switch (SBE-GEM-X2C) and also need the standalone 1/10G switch (SSE-G24-TG4) since they have a common software base and therefore can be configured and managed through the same user interface and command set. This can be done using either a Web GUI or a CLI – a nice flexibility that not everyone can offer.

We compared our switch to similar products from Dell, Accton, NetGear, D-Link, and SMC. All support XFP fiber connections, but only Dell and D-Link have a CX-4 copper connectivity option – a less expensive way to go or short distance connections (typically up to 15 meters).
