Question we have a problem with mainboards X8DAH+-F Bios 2.0A) and onboard IPMI (ver 1.33), connecting to the IPMI IP works correct so far, but when we try to "launch console", just a black window appears. We tried different browsers (firefox, IE and IPMIView). Any ideas? Answer If you installed an additional VGA card (or you also disabled the onboard Matrox G200eW VGA card because you have additional graphic cards)into the system then this is as expected. KVM over LAN can’t work then,the onboard IPMI is hardware linked to the onboard Matrox G200eW VGA adapter for KVM over LAN, so while you disabled the onboard VGA card the KVM over LAN is not functional. If you didn’t disable it, but still has additional VGA card, than go into the Bios at “PCI-PNP configuration” -> “boot graphics Adaptor priority”, set “onboard VGA” to primary VGA device Was this FAQ helpful?
