Question |
Does the P6DBE motherboard support 370FCPGA to slot 1 adapters? Also does the motherboard support 133MHz FSB speed processors? |

Answer |
We had reports of one adapter that worked in dual processing mode. Most adapters will work in single processor systems, but not dual processing systems. You can use a FSB 133MHz Pentium III processor normally (not supported), but the CPU clock speed will be slower since all Coppermine Pentium III processors have the CPU multiplier locked and do not use external jumpers or BIOS settings. Example a 1000eb which uses a 133 MHz FSB speed will run at 750MHz on a 100MHz FSB speed, reason is the processor is locked at 7.5X and expects a 133MHz bus speed which would give the CPU clock speed of 1GHz. |
