Question
On X9DRW-iF/3F , the PCI-e isn’t supposed to work? Has it been disabled or is there a BIOS option to make it work? I tried GPU, SAS, and NIC PCI-e cards and board won’t boot (no fan, power LED). If I remove the card from the slot, the board will boot normally.
Answer
It doesn't work because, although it is a x16 PCIe slot, but the pin definition is different from standard PCIe slot. We defined the pin assignment for our W platforms. The riser card for this slot is RSC-R2UW-2E8R or RSC-R1UW-E8R.
