Question
What is the difference between power off server-immediate shutdown and
power off server-orderly shutdown in IPMI power control?
Answer
Immediate shutdown forces system to shut down right away.
Orderly shutdown gives OS some extra time to complete what it's doing before
shutting down. For example, Redhat Linux shuts down after 60 secs if user
does not override the timer count down.
