How can I view power consumption through IPMItool on X10 boards?
Answer
To display the power consumption you need a power supply with PMbus and the PMbus cable must be connected from the power supply to the MB.



If you have this setup, you can view power consumption through below command.



# ipmitool dcmi power reading

Example output:
Instantaneous power reading: 162 Watts
Minimum during sampling period: 54 Watts
Maximum during sampling period: 324 Watts
Average power reading over sample period: 132 Watts
IPMI timestamp: Wed May 27 09:03:19 2015
Sampling period: 953593000 Milliseconds
Power reading state is: activated
