Question
We are using a Supermicro server with an Add on LSI 3108 controller. I am trying to install a Linux Centos operating system on 4KN drives and am able to finish the installation process. But when the server is rebooted, we have a blink cursor, and we can't reach the login prompt? How do I resolve this issue?
Answer
The issue is caused by the 4KN drives which are only supported IN UEFI mode boot.
To resolve the issue please choose one of the following:

1. Use the 4KN drive and select UEFI boot mode and install the OS. Please make sure that the \EFI partition has been created by the OS or you will need to manually create it.

2. Use non 4KN drives.

3. If your motherboard supports SATA DOM. Please install OS on SATA DOM.
