Question
In regards to the JNLP which downloads for the Remote Console window.
The certificate belongs to Super Micro and it is used when the JNLP application is built to digitally sign the application. It is then checked by Java before running the application to make sure it can be trusted.

Super Micro is not a certificate authority, and the certificate used for this purpose is self-signed. Why isn't Supermicro using a certificate (for signing their application) from a proper certificate authority?
Answer
Actually, it is not self-signed. It’s signed by VeriSign/Symantec.

Check your Java Control Panel >> Security >> Manage Certificate. It's under Trusted Certificate, you can see Supermicro as "Issued To", and the CA as "Issued By"
