Question Are there any physical differences between UIO and WIO  platform? I believe they are physically the same. Answer Both WIO and UIO chassis are for Supermicro proprietary form factor motherboards and riser cards. 1. UIO (Discontinued product) chassis requires UIO motherboard and UIO riser card.  2. WIO chassis requires WIO motherboard and WIO riser card. They are not interchangeable. The rear windows of the chassis are different. Was this FAQ helpful?
