Question
We are seeing IPMI reporting fans that don’t exist, the 0 rpm is below lower threshold and triggered warning, how can we disable that?
Answer
You can use the IPMICFG utility to remove the sensor reading. If the sensor reading is deleted, it can be recovered if you reset IPMI to factory defaults or if you re-flash IPMI to factory defaults.
IPMICFG -sdr del <SDR ID>
