Question
Even when in quiet mode the system seems to have all fans on the highest speed at all times. When the power supplies are first turned on the fans ramp way up, and then down to a very quiet mode, but then they seem to turn the fans on high again. This makes the system extremely loud. Does the quiet operation mode not work for this system? It is doing this with all blades powered off in a room that is only 65 degrees so the issue is not heat related.

Answer
The fans turn on high dues to the temperature inside the system when it getting hotter. Please make sure all the empty slots are cover and try to clean the dust of power supply fan where the air can blow in and out smoothly. You can change the FAN speed RPM. Please login CMM site and you can adjust the fan speed under Blade System -> Power Supply -> Power Supply Fan Speed Control.
