I have to two machines that use P4DP6 boards. One is dual Xeon at 1.7GHz and another is dual Xeon at 2.0GHz. However, the 1.7GHz CPU outperforms the 2.0GHz. How is that possible?
The reason of this irregularity is because our old BIOS did not have support for CPU that is higher than 1.8GHz. When customer uses 2.0GHz CPU, BIOS did not set the clock speed correctly and consequently system underperforms its actual performance. Please update your system BIOS with the latest version on our website.
