Question
System hangs when executing large jobs involving continuous OpenGL processing in NVIDIA graphics card. Two other systems with similar card and OS don't have any problems performing same job(s). Also noticed that the NVIDIA irq process is always present on this system with the trouble (ps aux | grep irq): root 3303 0.0 0.0 0 0 ?
S 10:10 0:00 [irq/92-nvidia] The other two systems also have their own NVIDIA interrupt signal (/proc/interrupts) but they are never visible via 'ps aux'. This would seem to indicate that the system in question is always servicing the NVIDIA interrupt. Is there something I can configure (in the BIOS) to remedy this situation?

Answer
Please try isolate to see if any possible DIMM memory(ies) caused the problem, such as swapping or temporary reduce to a few DIMMs.
