Question
Why does my Intel ZCR controller keep rebooting when it's converting FAT to NTFS file system in WinNT 4.0 environment?

Answer
This is a known issue on all Intel and ICP RAID cards. You must disable the write back cache feature of the RAID card during the installation of NT4.0 for NTFS to properly migrate. This is because the NTFS partition information is not written to disk from cache before the system goes into reboot. After installation of OS, cache can be fully enabled again.
