Question
I'm using an Intel Pro 1000/MT Desktop Adapter in my X5DA8 board. When system goes through the boot sequence, it would stop just before booting from bootable devices and show a blinking cursor on the top left hand corner of the monitor. What causes this issue, and how would I fix it?

Answer
This issue is caused by the BOOT Rom from the card itself. If you remove the card, the system will successfully proceed with booting into devices. To resolve this conflict, you can either update the boot ROM of the card with the latest version from Intel website or disable it.
