I have a X5DA8 motherboard with long extended keyboard and mouse cables; however, the keyboard and mouse do not work with the long cables. Iis there any way to make them work?

Yes, you may get into the BIOS and under I/O Device Configuration, set the KBC Clk Input from 12MHz(default) to 6MHz to extend the supported length of cables
