I have an X5DAE board and an Adaptec 3200S with Suse Linux 7.3 or 8.1. The installation runs without problems but when the system reboots the system hangs up when it tries to start the driver for the Adaptec controller?

Please set ACPI mode to NO in Advanced Setup in the BIOS; this will solve your boot up problem.
