I have some I/O errors whenever copying files in Redhat Linux using the on-board U320 SCSI. What could cause this?

Answer
The problem could be caused by bad SCSI cable. With U320 SCSI the cabling is very critical. Please make sure the cable is not too long and that you have the correct termination. By default, our X5 and P4 boards and our SCSI back planes have termination enabled.
