I have a SC742S-500 chassis and everything is working fine, however, it is so noisy to be stationed in a small office. Is there any way to fix that?

No, it is because the redundant 500 and 600W power supplies are designed for servers and if we lowered the fan speeds, it would cause system to overheat. If you want to lower the noise level, you may want to replace power supply with a non-redundant one such as PWS-045.
