I have a X7DWU motherboard. I updated the BIOS to the latest revision that is on the website and I do not see the 4 Pin Fan speed control in the BIOS anymore. Is this option removed from the BIOS?

No, but all the latest BIOS for Seaburg chipset based motherboards have a fan auto detect option.

If only 4-pin fan(s) are used, there will be no 3-pin fan control options;

If only 3-pin fan(s) are used, there will be no 4-pin fan control options;

If both 3-pin fan(s) and 4-pin fan(s) are used, then you will see all fan control options -

[Disabled]
[3-pin Server]
[3-pin Workstation]
[4-pin Server]
[4-pin Workstation]
