Question
I purchased the Super Micro C2SBC-Q mother board for its compatibility with Linux Red Hat 5. I am having trouble with Red Hat 5 seeing the controller. Is the C2SBC-Q not compatible with Red Hat 5, or do you any suggestions to help this OS installation?

Answer
1. To run Linux Hed Hat 5.0, you must select Adaptec Codebase Firmware inside the BIOS setting.

2. Enter to Adaptec Raid BIOS setup utility configure the raid level you want.

3. If you have IDE CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive that connect to on-board, you must specify the ITE controller driver (check the ITE chipset Number on the motherboard) than download the correct Adaptec RAID driver.
