Question
I have a X6DHE-G2 Super Micro motherboard. It runs great with 8GB of RAM, but trying to run 16GB of RAM on the system. It will not POST with 16GB (8 x 2GB) RAM installed = no beeps, no video.

The RAM is Kingston KVR400D2D4R3/2G, which is on the tested memory list. How can I make the system running with 16GB memories?

Answer
All the 7520 chipset based DDR2 motherboards have a basic limitation of maximum eight rank total for all the memory modules. If it is single rank you can fully populated eight DIMM. If it is 2-rank module, then you can populate only 4.
