Accessing the System

The SYS-E50-14AM/-L/-N5 server features removable top and bottom covers, enabling easy access to the inside of the server.

Removing the Chassis Covers

Important: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover in place. The chassis cover must be in place to allow for proper airflow and to prevent overheating.

  1. Power down the system as described in Removing Power.

  2. Remove the four screws that hold the top cover in place. These screws also hold the bottom cover in place.

  3. Lift one or both covers off the chassis.
