We have a customer that is attempting to run a Supermicro X9SCI-LN4F in somewhat adverse conditions. They are wondering if it is possible to alter the thermal thresholds of their X9SCI-LN4F.

Answer
The X9SCi-LN4F thermal thresholds are implemented by IPMI firmware. The only way to alter these thresholds is to have an OEM IPMI firmware. Default IPMI firmware thermal thresholds cannot be altered.
