Since the X9DRW-iF model has no LSI RAID Controller on-board.
We would like to use an Add-on RAID card with the X9DRW-iF to enable HDD monitoring through IPMI, is it possible?

It is not possible to do that through IPMI. There are alternative SKUs of the X9DRW boards you should consider:
X9DRW-7TPF, X9DRW-iTPF, X9DRW-7TPF+, X9DRW-iTPF+, X9DRW-3LN4F+, X9DRW-3TF+, X9DRW-3F, X9DRW-iF. The -7 models have the LSI 2208 controller on-board.
