What is the difference between a dual cooling zone motherboard
versus single cooling zone on X9S board series?

Answer
In a single cooling zone board, fan modes Standard and Optimal are the same thus
only Standard mode is used. In a dual cooling zone board, Standard fan mode
still treats the whole motherboard as a single cooling zone while Optimal fan mode
treats the motherboard as dual cooling zones.
