I have X8DTL-IF motherboard. When I configure SATA as RAID or AHCI, the CD/DVD shows Not Installed. How do i boot to CD/DVD ROM?

Yes, this is expected behavior. You can see during POST that the CD/DVDROM is detected. when you go into bios under Bott Device Priority, you can see the CD/DVD device name detected. you can choose that as the 1st boot drive.

Or during POST, press "F11" to invoke the boot menu and choose the CD ROM.
