Can I use the serial port on IPMI card for console redirection purpose?

Yes, if and only if you use it through a serial modem. If you attempt to set console redirection inside the motherboard BIOS, it will not work through IPMI card's serial port because the card is indenpendent with motherboard and BIOS.
