Question
I have your motherboard configured with Intel RAID level 5 array with three Seagate 500GB hard drives. The system had been running for few months without any problem. But, today two of three hard drives failed. I have replaced the failed drives with new hard drives, but can’t boot into Windows OS to rebuild the array using Intel Matrix Storage Management utility. I don’t want to loose important data since there is no data back-up yet. Is there any work around to rebuild the array?

Answer
I am afraid not. RAID Level 5 can lose one drive and still can generate the missing data on one drive. One good drive can not be used to rebuild a RAID level 5 array.
