I have an X7DA8 board and have connected six SATA hard drives connected to all available ports. But when I check in BIOS, I can see only four drives connected to ports 0-3. Why can’t I see the drives on ports 4 and 5?

Answer
All six hard drives can be seen in either AHCI mode or RAID mode only. If you are running the SATA controller in any other mode, you can’t see all six drives. This is normal.
