Question
I purchased two of your 24 port Gb switches called SSE-G24-TG2 with also two pieces 10Gb uplink modules called AOM-SSE-X2C, and installed one in each switch, but can you tell how to stack these two switches?

Answer
First the stacking configurations should be done on both switches,as following
Switch 1 Configuration:
--------------------------------
Switch Id 1
Priority PM (preferred master)
Ports xg1 (you can connect both xg1 and xg2 in both switches for redundancy, in that case this ports have to configured as xg1-2).

Switch 2 Configuration:
--------------------------------
Switch Id 2
Priority BM (backup master)
Ports xg1 (you can connect both xg1 and xg2 in both switches for redundancy, in that case this ports have to configured as xg1-2).

After configuring stacking, restart both the switches with cables connected.

Switch 1 has to come up as master, and switch 2 has to come up as slave.
Login to master switch and try the following commands.
1. Show version – it should show both the switches hardware and firmware version
2. show interface description – it should list all the ports in both the switches from Gi 1/1 to Gi 1/24 and same way Gi 2/1 to Gi 2/24 also the ex ports.

If you have not got the expected output for these two commands, check your settings as stacking is not working at that point.
