I have a X8DA3 motherboard with a simlc card. Whenever I set the IPMI card to DHCP on the following reboot it gets set to Static. Why is this?

Double check if your onboard lan ports are functioning. When your onboard lan ports are turned off or not seen in your OS then a system like this occurs.
