I just purchase X8SAX motherboard and want to set up my Raid but it gives me two choices, this time Intel or Adaptec raid options. I have no problem using either I just want to know which one is the best and will give me the best performance?

There is no performance difference between Intel or Adaptec codebase firmware. But there is advantage and disadvantage between Intel and Adaptec codebase firmware. The Intel controller had option for raid level 5 supporting but Adaptec controller does not have raid level 5 options support.
