Question
I install a PCI-E X8 add-on card to the CSE-RR1U-Eli, and the motherboard is the X7SBi. The system couldn’t detect the add-on card. Is there anything I miss?

The CSE-RR1U-Eli riser gets the data signal from the PCI-E slot on the motherboard, but not the power. It will need the 3.3V power supply from the PCI-X slot. In order to get the 3.3V power, the frequency has to be set to 66/133MHz in PCI PnP configuration (in BIO) to enable the 3.3V. If not, there will be only the 5V, and the PCI-E add-on card will be not powered by 3.3V.
