The attached disks on LSI 2108 SAS controller on board does not detect the capacity of 3TB; Any idea?

Yes, you need a newer firmware version for 3TB drive support. Can you apply this firmware: https://www.supermicro.com/wdl/driver/SAS/LSI/2108/Firmware/2.120.53-1235/
