Question
The specifications for the 5016T-MTFB server say "Intel Core i7 not supported" but yet the integrated board in the server (X8STi-F) does indicate support for Core i7 on it's respective specifications.

What does Max TDP > 100 Watts indicate?

Its thermal concern, this 1U server is not supporting any processor that is greater than 100W. All the Core i7 series processors in the market are 130W. Although Core i7 is support by the motherboard, it is NOT supported in 1U system level.
