Hello, I have a H8DGU-LN4F+ motherboard with IPMI firmware version 2.50 on a 829TQ-R920UB chassis and the intrusion sensor is always showing OK no matter how many times I open the case. The intrusion switch is connected to the JL1 jumper on the motherboard. Do I need to upgrade my IPMI or BIOS firmware to fix this issue?

Answer
You have to have the power cables plugged into the power supply.
It won't work if you disconnected the power and then opened the chassis.

The JL1 jumper only works when the power is connected. It does not work with the motherboard battery only.
