is it possible to support 8pcs PCI-E x8 add-on cards in Superserver 5017GR-TF or 1017GR-TF

yes you can change the standard risercards to RSC-R1UG-2E8G-UP left risercard and RSC-R1UG-2E8GR-UP right risercard.

This will allow you to have 2x PCI-E x8 slot on left side and 2x PCI-E x8 slot on right side and 1x PCI-E x8 slot in the middle.

So you can use 5pcs PCI-E x8 cards in the 5017GR server.
