Q7. The manual says that the Blade Gigabit switch modules have 20 ports, 10xuplink and 10xdownlink. But in the switch 'Web Management' it there are 24 configurable ports. Are there 20 ports or 24?
A7. Those numbers refer to the SBM-GEM-X2C/+ switch. For the GEM-003 switch please refer to the information on the “1G Ethernet Switch Firmware” in chapter 6 of the User’s Manual. You will see “BMB-GEM-003” used as well as SBM-GEM-001 in the descriptive information. BMB-GEM-003 is the board model number for the SBM-GEM-001 switch and is sometimes used interchangeably with it in describing the product.
