Question
Previously I used two E5520 and six DDR3-1066 Non-ECC Un-buffered 1GB DIMMs install on X8DTI motherboard had no problem. But now install new Intel Xeon X5650(6core, 2.66GHz), the BIOS R2.0a BIOS report at "2.26GHz", not 2.66GHz. Any idea?

Answer
The CPU Ratio in BIOS Setup is not set to the maximum ratio after switching from E5520 to X5650. The BIOS retains the previous CPU Ratio setting after switching CPUs (from E5520 2.26GHz to X5650 2.66GHz). In this case is still reading at 17x ratio from the E5520. Go into BIOS setup and load default settings in BIOS then go to the CPU Ratio option and press "+" to increase the ratio to the max setting for X5650 (should increase to 20: 20*133 = 2.66 GHz).
