Create raid 1 with AOC-USAS2-L8E on X8SIA-F motherboard. Activate sleep mode on Windows 2008 (Windows 7). When system turns back on or out of sleep mode, hard drive(s) fail to turn on. End up system restart. LSI claim the chipset suppor suspend mode.

X8SIA-F suspend mode is set as S1 (POS). AOC-USAS2-L8E raid controller card is not compatible with S1 mode. User must use S3 (STR) mode. However, X8SIA-F did not have suspend mode selection as S3. Please try using X8SAX or X7SPA-HF.

We do not recommend that user(s) to allow a RAID volume to sleep, especially a software RAID. Or in other words, don't let Windows handle that function. RAID is designed for servers, not workstations or regular desktops. Servers are supposed to run all the time.
